Awe inspiring, rejuvenating and cooling, as well as architecturally thought provoking, this fountain is located in Adams Sangamon Park in the West Loop. The park is designed to let the varied community mix and share within a open and richly-textured environment.
The fog structures consist of 5 units each manufactured from stainless steel. The tallest unit being 15’-6” in height. The horizontal width of the upper arches is 16’. Each structure has 15 fog nozzle’s the operation of the fog nozzles is made by touching a touch pad mounted on stainless steel bollards at each end of the walkway.
Once depressed the fog nozzles on each structure will turn on based on a random sequence determined by the Landscape Architect.
To enhance night time viewing the inside of each structure is illuminated with white LED strip lighting. The fog equipment and controls is housed in a subterranean 6’ x 6’ equipment vault.
